It always amazes me when I'm a guest sitting in on a internet seminar put on by companies, so you can find out more about them and their marketing methods. They are almost like relatives that are sharing the same genetic back ground, almost like their hardwired by the same things that can make us very much like someone were related to. I realize that sounds goofy, but you've heard before about the apple not falling to far. These networkers all start to blend together, and maybe it's cause I'm looking at so many seminars sometimes. If you listen in you can maybe pickup a new idea you have never had before, knowledge is a good thing in this industry.

So off I go to a webinar I usually have gotten th info in a email. Log in as a guest, sit in for a while and see what's up. I always love to hear how successful a person is, and how they did it. But this guy is telling everyone he is a leader because he takes the time to express how grateful he is to the universe. I probably would have fell for that one, in one of my weaker moments.

The Sandbox is a hoax on the Internet to discourage new SEOs

I wanted to get this down on paper today because I have done a lot of tests to find out if there is a Sandbox or overoptimization filter when it comes to Google. I have done a bunch of tests and I finally have the results I want where I feel I can give a good opinion on what you can do. I want to help out those, who are especially new to the game.

The Sandbox is the easy one to address. There are two things I can say about it. The two things are that either it does not exist, or I have figured out the most magical formula to bypass it, but I don't know what it is. I read these forums where people say they are in the sandbox for six or even twelve months. I want those people to know that I feel something else is wrong with their site, I put up 3 new sites in November, and by January I was on the first page of Google. May I also add that these were brand new domains, and before being on page one they were on page two or three in just a few weeks.

I can't say for sure that there is no Sandbox, even though I like to, because it is different from most of what you read, and I love to be different and cause a fuss. I will say however, that my three sites all got to the top with no problem so I either have really good luck, or I just can get around it. If there is a sandbox I missed it with three sites, so maybe it is just that my methods are better than everyone on the forums that talk about this horrible sandbox.

Now as for the overoptimization filter, that does exist, and it will hammer you. I had a site that I started promoting and had excellent results. I was about number 5 on Google for my keywords, and then one day, I was gone. I dont mean gone like moved down, I mean gone. I didnt even rank number one for a search for my domain name including the dot com.

I thought maybe they were proving to me there was a sandbox. Then I was in a state of panic for months. What about these other sites that ranked so good, would they drop too? I let the site sit for about a month and a half without changing anything, continued promoting it, but did no other optimization just to see if I popped out of the sandbox. No results. So about a week ago, I changed one thing. The first thing Googlebot would see is my H1 tag that was my main keywords, I changed that H1 tag to something completely different that does not contain the keywords.

The results of this test took a huge weight off my shoulders. I moved right up from not being indexed to position 100 by changing 4 words. Now I have made another change because I still want to reduce my keyword density. I found that my personal keyword density was about 4%. This came from all my forum reading. These Joe Blows, who probably don't even have a ranking for anything saying it should be between 3 and 7%. When I looked at the top 10 sites for my keyword, none of them, for the phrase, even have a density of 1%. I have a lot of work to do, but I am doing it one step at a time so I can see what works.

Up until this time I have been a firm believer in off page optimization, my theory has always been that there is no way they can weight on page optimization that much because it is so controllable by the webmaster. What I have learned in return is that on page cant help too incredibly much, but it can kill your site. Pay attention to the density of top sites and do your best to fit in those numbers. If you are over optimized kiss your income and your site good-bye on Google. The problem: MSN and Yahoo reward key word density so in increasing my rankings in Google I have partially damaged my MSN and Yahoo rankings, but I think it is worth it. I want to be on top of Google then worry about MSN and Yahoo.

So if you have been sitting around reading forums thinking your site is in the sandbox for 6 months, I want to tell you to change your strategy. Something you are doing is wrong. If you can seriously sit around for 6 to 12 months hoping to magically jump out of this sandbox to number one you are nuts. Make some changes to your site and see if anything happens, what do you have to lose? You aren't indexed, instead of doing the natural thing and adding all your keywords and stuffing them, see if you need to remove some. I get on page 2 in no more than 2 months with every site I launch, at least thus far, so I don't think there is anything to this sandbox.

My secret tip of the day, what do I do so differently? Here is one... I don't link to anybody. I don't exchange links nor do my sites have a single outbound link on them. Why? Because I know for sure that I can be punished for people that I link to, but not for the people that link to me. Therefore I just don't link to anybody and I avoid this issue. - 15433

Setting goals is crucial to ultimately achieving success. The majority of people still don't seem to really get this, so I would like to elaborate just a little, if I may. We have probably all heard the saying "how do you know you are there, if you didn't know where you wanted to go?" Yes, it might sound a little silly but if you are honest with yourself, you will realize that there is a wealth of truth in that statement.

I have been retired from full-time employment for many years now. In the past I was District Manager for Health & Welfare Canada. A lot of responsibility went along with the job but I had no computer skills as my staff would take care of those things for me. Just this past November, 2008, I decided that I was going to fulfill a dream of mine to run my own internet marketing business. I knew next to nothing about the industry but I was determined to learn what I needed to know. After doing a fair amount of research, I aligned myself with Carbon Copy Pro. I was very impressed with this Company because they offered a complete marketing system that helped solve all the problems that most people face in a home-based business. They also provided all the necessary tools for success. I could hardly believe it, but they actually also closed the deals for you!!

So what have I managed to accomplish during this period of time? I have learned that I love to write and have written 20 articles that have all been published by EzineArticles. That in itself would have made me deliriously happy...but I also managed to get all 20 articles on the first page of Google and many of them were even in the first position.

I bought myself a little webcam and started learning how to create and edit videos. There was quite a learning curve but I now have 26 videos on my YouTube channel and I also have 37 subscribers to my channel. When I upload a new video, these people are automatically advised so that they can check it out. I have received some very complimentary comments from viewers who also thank me for helping them get started with their own business.

I now have a Wordpress.org blog that I host myself and I am in the process of creating my own capture pages. I have posted a Press Release and will be doing another one within a matter of days. As of yesterday I had 567 followers on Twitter and 685 followers on Facebook and I have developed many wonderful relationships by networking on these sites.

I feel very good about myself when I look at what I have accomplished during the past 90 days, and this is only the beginning!!

No doubt you have all heard someone say "if I can do it, then anyone can". Sometimes we think, "Oh yeh...who are they kidding!" In this case, I really feel that it is the truth. I am a 65 year old, retired woman, with no previous computer or marketing skills. So I do feel confident in saying "if I can do it, you can too". If you have the desire to achieve your goals, then believe me, nothing can or will stop you from doing just that. The right person or the right information will appear just when you need it the most, as long as you give it your best and you never, never give up. That's the secret! There is no better time to succeed that right now. Millions of new millionaires are going to be created over the next ten years and there is no reason on earth why you cannot be one of them. I definitely plan on being one, do you?
